TR Zeliang may become Deputy Chief Minister in all-party Govt.

TR Zeliang

Opportunities and power have come to veteran Naga politician TR Zeliang under different circumstances in the past. This time, as per reports, TR Zeliang is set to become Deputy Chief minister in the new all-party Government taking shape in the state.

There is talk going on in the power circles that the cabinet post that fell vacant following the demise of senior NDPP member and minister CM Chang may be given to Zeliang. The Nagaland Post also reported this.

Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, taking to Twitter expressed his joy at the new developments.

I am happy that the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party, Bharatiya Janata Party Nagaland and Naga People's Front have come together for an opposition-less government towards achieving our common goal for an early and peaceful solution to the "Naga Political Issue." pic.twitter.com/zyrgkiR9QJ
