Director General of Police Nagaland T. John Longkumer’s tenure as the state’s police chief has been extended for one more year.
The Chhattisgarh cadre IPS officer’s tenure as DGP Nagaland was supposed to end by June 2021. It has now been extended to 31.08.2022 as per an order issued by the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Govt of India.
The two senior most IPS officers currently of Nagaland cadre are Sunil Acharya (1992) who is currently joint secretary, cabinet secretariat (RAW) and Rupin Sharma (1992) who is currently posted as DGP (Border affairs) in Tizit, Mon.
