Following the declaration of urban Dimapur as a containment zone, Railway authorities have closed ticket booking for all trains from and to Dimapur.
In a Twitter update on Friday, the Eastern Railway announced that the move was prompted by a directive from the Chief Secretary of Nagaland to suspend all passenger railway traffic in Dimapur.
“Considering the above, it has been decided to stop booking of all incoming and outgoing trains at Dimapur to avoid inconvenience to passengers,” it informed.
