Odd-Even rule not extended in Dimapur

Odd-Even system for vehicles in Dimapur starting May 11

Dimapur Police has not issued any notification regarding extension of the ‘Odd-Even’ traffic rule for the month of December.

When contacted, police sources said that the odd-even rule within Dimapur town and NH-29 till Chümoukedima town has not been extended for December.

However, sources said that implementation of the odd-even rule would depend on the authorities– District Task Force in consultation with the commissioner of police, Dimapur.Meanwhile, Kohima district authorities have also not notified the extension of the traffic regulation for the month of December. 

It may be mentioned that the odd-even rule was effective till November 30 where restrictions were put in place for movement of non-essential vehicles.
