Nagaland Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio today called on Defence Minister, Rajnath Singh and sought support of the Defence Minister for Cheithu Airport Kohima in view of its strategic importance.
“Called on Minister of Defence Shri @rajnathsingh and sought support of @DefenceMin India for Ceithu Airport Kohima in view of its strategic importance,” Rio tweeted.
Rio said he also discussed early completion of Bokajan-Botsa Road under Border Roads Organisation.
It may be mentioned that Rio had met Union Minister for Civil Aviation Hardeep Singh Puri on September 11 regarding Chiethu Airport at Kohima. Rio had expressed gratitude to the Airport Authority of India for agreeing to prepare the DPR of the airport.
Rio also called on Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways, Minister of Shipping and the Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and discussed creation of skill development centres under MSME schemes.
“Called on Shri @nitin_gadkari, Union Minister of @MORTHIndia and @minmsme to discuss about Trans Nagaland Highway (Foothill Road) and other road projects. We also discussed creation of skill development centres under MSME schemes,” Rio tweeted.
