The OPD and emergency services at Eden medical centre in Kashiram, Dimapur has been closed after a patient admitted in the hospital tested positive for Covid-19.
As per the hospital’s Director Dr. Lima Imchen, on July 17th evening a patient came to the hospital in respiratory distress and was immediately rushed into the ICU.
On further assessment, it was decided to do a screening test for Covid-19 in the hospital’s lab – which turned out to be positive.
Dr Lima then informed the Dimapur Covid task force and resampling for confirmatory RT-PCR test was done – results of which will be available the next day. He mentioned that the ICU had been sealed.
