“Train of Misery”: Horrid experience of Gurugram-Dimapur train passengers

At 3:40 PM, the train which departed from Gurugram, Haryana for Dimapur with 1400 passengers is still stuck at Danapur railway station in Bihar. The train which departed from Gurugram on 22nd May was supposed to reach Dimapur on Sunday at around 6:00 AM. 426 passengers are from Nagaland.

As per discussion with some Naga passengers in the train, food has not been provided the whole day on Sunday. “They were just managing with some biscuits.”

Girl from Peren passes away

In an unfortunate incident, a Girl from Peren district who was supposedly not keeping well and was advised against traveling passed away around midnight. The body was taken out of the train at Kanpur station and is on the way to Dimapur by ambulance. It has been clarified that the deceased has no record of being diagnosed with COVID-19. The Nagaland Zeliang Student’s Welfare society Delhi has appealed to the public to be sensitive with this matter and not to create panic till an official statement is issued by the government.

Miscreants attack train

Early morning, as per reports, miscreants started shouting and pelting stones on the train at Danapur railway station Bihar. Twitter has been flooded with SOS messages to railways and VIPs including the Railway Minister and PMO. The train has passengers from various states of North East.

As per some Tweets, some people also forcefully entered the train.
