The BJP has said the Congress and the BJP were like “water and fire” and their coming together to support the government during the trust vote was an “unholy alliance” BJP state unit president N. Chuba Ao was quoted saying in the Telegraph.
The BJP today said it would have to rethink its pre-poll alliance with the NPF if chief minister T.R. Zeliang decided to include the Congress in his ministry.
N. Chuba Ao said they would have to discuss the issue with the party high command. He said since the BJP was a pre-poll partner in the ruling alliance, the chief minister should not take a unilateral decision without consulting partners.
