The Addl. Chief Secretary & Finance Commissioner, Temjen Toy today assumed the charge as the new Chief Secretary of Nagaland.
He formally took over the new post during a during a short handing over ceremony here at the farewell programme to the outgoing Chief Secretary, Pankaj Kumar held here at Secretariat Plaza, Kohima.
Kumar has been assigned as the Additional Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and IT, Government of India.
“In the normal course, my friend and batch mate R.B Thong would have taken over charge from me. As he is not well, Temjen Toy is going to take over the responsibility,” announced Kumar citing health ground as the reason for R.B Thong’s replacement.
“He (Temjen Toy) is one of the most action oriented, efficient and effective officers of the cadre. He is totally hands on-24/7. I have no doubt that you will give him your whole hearted and unstinted cooperation,” Kumar told the gathering.
