Rio government swearing-in ceremony on March 7 or 8

The NDPP led People’s Democractic Alliance (PDA) government swearing-in ceremony will be held either on March 7 or 8th. PDA comprises of NDPP, BJP, JDU and Independent candidate totalling 32 MLAs.

“We are confident of forming the government. It is likely to be held on March 7 or 8,” Chief Ministerial candidate Neiphiu Rio told reporters.

Prime Minister Modi is likely to attend the swearing-in ceremony which has been scheduled to be held at Khouchiezie (Kohima local ground), according to sources from the NDPP.

Meanwhile, BJP National General Secretary Ram Madhav has also confirmed on Twitter about the government formation.

In Meghalaya d non-Congress govt l d by NPP-UDP-BJP+ will take oath on 6th. To be followed by Nagaland and Tripura on 7-8th.
