The Supreme Court today dismissed the case filed by Dr. Shurhozelie Liezietsu against the NLA Speaker and TR Zeliang that was earlier registered on August 5.
The special leave petition No.020048 of 2017 was heard today for admission by Justice A.K. Sikri and Justice Ashok Bhushan that was dismissed and the case disposed.
Commenting on the outcome of the court order, a press release from the NPF party led by Rio stated that the “utter dismissal” by the apex court exposes the “illegality and the disastrous stand” of Dr. Shürhozeilie Liezietsu on the ongoing leadership dispute and the tussle of the NPF party symbol and flag.
“Consequently, the NPF Led by Rio can safely and assertively conclude that the legal and constitutional foundations of Dr.Shürhozelie and his group are extremely shaky and slippery,” it further stated.
