EPL: Yoane Wissa hold key to Alexander Isak transfer to Liverpool

As the closure for the summer window of the English premier League (EPL) draws near, all eyes are on Sweden international Alexander Isak – for which club will he play this season?

It is obvious now that Isak wishes to play for Liverpool. But this is only possible if his present team Newcastle United finds an alternative to replace him and secondly, if Liverpool can meet the expected Rs. 1780 Crore (150 million pounds) buy out.

The alternative player for Newcastle here Brentford striker Yoane Wissa. But there is a catch – Brentford are eyeing Bournemouth’s Dango Ouattara, but his move depends on Bournemouth signing Amine Adli from Bayer Leverkusen. Only once that domino falls could Wissa potentially move to Newcastle.

As per reports, Wissa has withdrawn from Brentford’s preseason training, refusing to play while the transfer is unresolved. However, he recently agreed to a temporary truce—he’s back in training but remains adamant about wanting to join Newcastle before the transfer window closes.

With the Deadline approaching fast, developments could accelerate soon.
