A 5.5 magnitude earthquake hit Manipur at 8:15 pm this evening, said the national Centre for Seismology.
Tremors were also felt in Guwahati and other parts of Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram.
Initial reports suggest the earthquake’s epicentre lay in Manipur, about 11 km southwest of Kakching in Manipur.
