Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurated the Assam’s first Science City in Sonapur, near Guwahati, describing the project as a major step toward encouraging scientific thinking among young people.
“It has features like Eureka and Space Odyssey, etc, and is bigger than Kolkata’s Science City” said the Assam CM.
The project has been developed through a joint initiative of the Assam government and the National Council of Science Museums under the Government of India.
