Prime Minister Modi had a 3-hour meeting over video conference with chief minister of states.
Home minister Amit Shah, also present at the meeting told states to be stringent on lockdown violations.
The meeting emphasized on the need for economic activities to start but total lifting of Lockdown was ruled out.
Meghalaya chief minister Conrad Sangma has said that lockdown will continue in the state post May 3.
Concern was raised over migrant workers stuck in various states.
Educational institutions may continue to remain closed.
