Prime Minister Narendra Modi acknowledges the problems faced by the people and thanked citizens for their sacrifice.
PM Modi acknowledged the disciplined way citizens followed the Lockdown directives.
He said we have been able to contain the Coronavirus to a great extent compared to some big nations.
The PM said that when there were just 500 COVID-19 cases, the Govt had taken the decision to take measures to contain the spread of the virus.
PM said that he had extensive discussions with Chief Ministers of different states.
He said that the lockdown will continue till 3rd May 2020.
“Graded Relaxation” will be given starting from 20 April, the PM said.
The prime minister said that detailed guidelines regarding the lockdown will be issued shortly.
