Rev. Franklin Graham, son of the famous evangilist Billy Graham is set to visit Kohima, Nagaland, on November 30, 2025, for a “special reception programme” held at the Indira Gandhi Stadium.
The event is organized by the Kohima Baptist Pastors’ Fellowship (KBPF), in collaboration with the Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) and the Nagaland Joint Christian Forum (NJCF).
The visit is deeply symbolic: 53 years ago, Franklin’s father, Billy Graham, preached in Nagaland (Kohima) in 1972, in an event remembered as highly influential for local Christian communities.
Given Nagaland’s strong Christian identity and its complex sociopolitical history, such a high-profile religious event carries weight beyond just the church.
For older Nagas, it’s a chance to relive a powerful spiritual era. For younger ones, it’s an opportunity to connect with that legacy.
According to the organizers, they expect a large turnout — possibly 50,000 people or more.
