DDU-GKY 2.0 (Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana 2.0) is the updated / revamped version of the Government of India’s flagship rural skilling and placement program under the Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD). It is implemented by the Nagaland State Rural Livelihoods Mission in Nagaland.
Some key features of DDU-GKY 2.0 include: Training aligned with National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF), Focus on sustainable jobs,not just placements, priority to groups like SC/ST and women, a new Kaushal Bharat Portal for Placement tracking, Registration and Training monitoring.
Eligibility criteria of trainees include: Age- 15–35 years (up to 45 for vulnerable groups), School / college dropouts also eligible.
In Nagaland, the NSRLM has identified experienced Project Implementing Agencies (PIA) like Pinnacle Skills, Globalpeers, Bhavani Marketing, Alfresco LLP and NTTC to roll out DDU-GKY 2.0. Hundreds of youth are expected to benefit through the trainings.
