The distinction for being the first female Police Commissioner of Dimapur goes to Aotula T Imchen, who officially assumed the role on August 8, 2025
She succeeded Kevithuto Sophie, IPS.
Aotula is not new to Dimapur as she also previously served as Deputy Commissioner of Police in Dimapur.
She brings extensive operational and leadership experience to the position. She served as Superintendent of Police in Mokokchung and Wokha, and Commandant of the 7th NAP Battalion.
She will be in-charge of Chümoukedima and Niuland besides Dimapur.
