Thuingaleng Muivah, General Secretary of NSCN‑IM, was admitted to the Christian Institute of Health Sciences & Research (CIHSR) in Dimapur on August 1st following complaints of gastrointestinal issues, including gastritis, indigestion, and diarrhea. He also experienced mild breathing difficulties and coughing attributed to age-related complications and the gastro-related condition.
Eastern Mirror confirmed that he was admitted to the ICU for monitoring of coughing and breathing complications.
According to reports from the Nagaland Post, he was under observation, his condition was stable, and he was expected to be discharged once routine assessments were completed.
In March 2022, Muivah was airlifted to a CIHSR due to gastrointestinal issues like gastritis and abdominal uneasiness.
Thuingaleng Muivah is 91 years old.
