The Nagaland government today appointed J Alam IAS as Nagaland chief secretary following the demise of incumbent Temjen Toy on Thursday.
Alam is a 1991 batch Nagaland cadre IAS officer, who was an additional chief secretary to chief minister and development commissioner Nagaland.
Under secretary S Athsangla notified that the officer will hold the charge of chief secretary with immediate effect.
