In a major blow to opposition party Nagaland Peoples Front (NPF), the president of NPF Wokha division Mhonthung Patton along with office bearers joined the ruling NDPP in the presence of NDPP president Chingwang Konyak and Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio.
A statement from the NDPP on Monday welcomed the former president and all office bearers who had resigned from primary and active membership of the NPF, on November 9, to support the leadership of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and NDPP president Chingwang Konyak.
It may be mentioned that only recently leader of opposition TR Zeliang and other NPF MLAs and attended the Tokhu Emong celebrations in Wokha along with local MLA Dr. Chumben Murry.
