‘BJP will be in power till 2047’: Ram Madhav

Ruling party BJP’s general secretary Ram Madhav has claimed that his party will break the Congress’s record of longest run at power at the Centre. Ram Madhav claimed that the BJP would continue to be in power till 2047, when India would be celebrating 100 years of Independence.

Ram Madhav’s claim is similar to what Union Home Minister Amit Shah had said in September 2018 as the BJP president while addressing the party leaders the national executive meeting in New Delhi.

Amit Shah had said, “If the BJP wins 2019 Lok Sabha election, no one can throw us out in the next 50 years.”

He had also said that while the Congress had formed first government in 1947 and stayed in power till 1977 uninterrupted, the BJP may surpass that feat. In Agartala, Ram Madhav echoed the same sentiment of the BJP.

Ram Madhav also said, “Nationalism is in the BJP’s DNA” rejecting the charge that the BJP used military achievements to win 2019 Lok Sabha election.

On a different note, BJP leader Sakshi Maharaj had, in March this year, claimed that there would be no election if the BJP won 2019 Lok Sabha election.
