In Nagaland, the first phase, comprising the House listing and Housing Census, will be held from July 1 to July 30, 2026. As per government sources, the option for self-enumeration will be operational from June 16 to June 30, 2026.
The second phase, involving population enumeration, is scheduled for February 2027.
The 2027 Census of India will be the 16th national census and the first one conducted after a long gap since 2011.
